War always affect all parties and our media isn’t showing us any photo or videos of Israelis; I’d be more than happy to publish them on my blog if you can provide me with some photos.
the outburst of the painful images over the net is doing nothing but making us ache. Both for Lebanon, and the fact that so little we can do.
When you have the British PM leaving for a vacation to Barbados in the middle of such crisis, as well as full approval to the slaughter there’s little we can do.

Dude, I received that photo by email and I just cropped it to fit the blog design; I do not really search for these kind of photos as they’ll add more pain and headache to what I already have.
yes, it’s true that it’s my choice to choose the topics and mete rials to be published in my blog but I do not mind posting something from the other side, I’m pretty open and more than enough.
Ofer, I’m inviting you here to provide me with photos and videos that can give a good picture on what’s happening on the or with the other side.

Do Israeli’s see the other side “ours” ? You as an Israeli cannot be neutral in your thoughts and feelings regarding the situation .. neither can we as Arabs.

Not sure if israeli people totally understand your side. I am not trying to be nautral but to learn and Hear the other side in order to understand what the other side is feeling and think.
Most young israeli people understnad one thing -
Hizbala=missiles on israel=Dead people and damage to property=we MUST defende ourself
By publishing this kind of picutre like jad is doing here you just making damage to both sides.
If you want to help this bad situation - write document to the israeli people how you see this problem and what is your view on this situation.
Today haifa was under attack. Think that tommorow they will atack aman. so jad will still continue to put this picture? (today 3 killed and more than 60 injured)
I still don’t understand what is jad thinking about this issue. This is very nice of him to tell me to publish pictures here but from my view jad had to publish it as well.

You want us to talk, so lets talk.
To start with as you say for isreal , “Hizbala=missiles on israel=Dead people and damage to property=we MUST defende ourself”
for many lebanese:
Israel=22 years of previous accupation (this period include of course thousands of people killed and injured and creating poverty etc..)+currently(since 2000) detained lebanese prisoners in isreal jails (the reason why hizboulah kidnaped the soldiers)+ since year 2000 constantly invading our airspace by israel warplanes and of course at the time being in just few weeks about 1000 killed thousands injured, destroyed infrastructure, one million displaced citizens
The result of all of this is that Lebanese HATE Israel and think of it as monster and criminal.
Well we both want peace dont we????
our task as open and educated people is to try to bring peace to our beloved countries. I am ready to blame hizboulah for any wrong doing they do in condition that you are also ready to blame your giverment and IDF for a wrong doing they do.
If you are ready to do that then we can have a dialouge, I am waiting your reply!!!
PS: BTW i saw the remaining pictures of this boy and his mother, sadly the mother dies in this boy’s hand.

First of all I don’t like that people hiding after internet nicks and not telling me who they really are.
I read your answer and now I totoally understand that we will never have peace in this way even if we both meet and go to eat toghetr good food.
I think that you looking too much on the past and not to the future and also asking me to do something that not normal all around the world.
Don’t expect me to blame my army in our basic right - to defende ourself,
And this is what our gov is doing.
Israel has army like any other country in the world. The target of this army is to protect Israel and it’s citizens.
You don’t need to blame hizbala for the crimes just to look for other solution that will be good - both for your counrty and for us.
If it was possible to talk with hizbala so it was other story but this people don’t want to talk - they just want to hurt and kill and the week and poor people are suffering.
From my understanding you know from the mintue you born that Israel is monster and criminal - which is really NOT!
People here are great - helping each other and so.
about the prisoners that are in Israel - I really don’t know much about this so in the next days I will read and ask and only than will answer you.
what about the prisoners that hizbala kiddnap from Israel? How you think it is possible to bring them back home?

First thanks for your reply.
I will try to answer some points, first when I was born israel was accupying lebanon, so when I was born I had every reason to think that israel is a monster. We dont hate Israel because it is in our blood to hate, but because of Israel action in OUR country. which means if Israel was not accupying lebanon in that period and not thousands of lebanese were also killed in that period (year 1982-2000) then lebanese would not have acted against you.
Nevertheless, I am ready to forget all of this and as you said, we think about the future. In future we want peace. I really want peace and I am sick of wars.
I am not with hizboulah, but I beleive that this group has a cause for which they are fighting. One asks himself the question, when did hizboulah appear?, is it after or before israel accupied lebanon?.. the answer is ofcourse they appeared after israel accupied lebanon in year 1982. In lebanon we dont like fundemantalist islam movments but this movment happened as reaction to counteract the Israel invasion. At that time, lebanese army was weak and it is still very weak to fight Israel.
Another point is about your army, I understand that you respect the IDF and you think whatever they are doing, they are doing this to defend Israel and to preserve its honor and pride, but this is only one side of the story and i just advise you to have a look at the other side of the story. In other words that what IDF is doing, is not just to defend your country but also invade and interfere in other countries. In the past Hitler (who I hate btw and every human should hate) Hitler used the Honor of Germany and defending the germans as an exuse to start a world war with all its crimes. All what i am saying, is just dont take foregranted everything you hear or see, use your mind to investigate and look deeper into the subject.
I know that many civilians in israel are killed, I hope that you beleive me if i say i feel sorry for them. All lebanese font want civilians to be killed but you also should understand that when about 1000 civilians are killed from your country in this war it is hard to think about the 40 civilians from the other country.
I had more to say but i dont want to make it too long

Now please tell me , honestly , do you find these photos disturbing ? do you think of Qana and all other civilians and bombing as “mistakes” ? why should an Arab or a Muslim group fighting for the right of freedom be tagged as a terrorist group , while killing civilians is not ? war is death and death is war .. i know , we all know that , but why target the innocents ? why destroy lives and homes ? why ?

I mean why would they do that ? is it that they are that barbaric and hunmanless so that they would create a human armor of their own people to hide behind? if this is the case , then what is mentioned in Jonathan Cook’s artcle is true as well . please refer to this link and let me know what do you think in the first paragraph

very good article Danah, and I want to add a couple of more comments:
1. Men who are brave enough to fight the strongest army in the Middle East can not be at the same time coward and hide behind women and children as Isreal and US media has been claiming.
2. I have seen pictures of wounded or killed women and children being taken from under the ruins destroyed by Israel, but i have not seen a man next to his gun dead, or a man dead next to the rocket base.
on a different topic, dear Ofer, when we ask you questions it is because we would like you to answer some of our concerns.This is the basic concept of negotioation, or a dialgue.
If you want an answer to the crisis we are in, from my own perspective it is very simple…give the lebanese back thier rights and the war will stop.
1. Israel go out of the accupied land in lebanon including shibaa farms
2. Israel stops invading our airspace by Israeli war plans from time to time
3. Israel give lebanon its prisoners who have been there now for more than 25 years (lebanon will also give Israel the two kidnapped soldiers back)
after that lebanon will disarm hizboulah

the israeli army can do much more damange and the airforce is using very very small activity and power from what he can because the army does not want to hurt civilians. The people where the army is know that this is problemtaic area and still decide to stay there so part of the responsiblity is on the poeople and lebanon gov.

Please provide me with such links. I do not know or understand why do you find it believable or logical that they should hide behind civilians. If you read the article i recommended then after finishing the first paragraph you’re first reaction would be “B.S !!!, Israeli army wont do that to Israelis !” then why would you assume that hizbollah would do it ? Have you noticed that the writer of the article is living in Nazareth , which can give him a much better access on how things are going there.
I am sure there are peace activists in the Israeli side, but I am even more sure they cannot belong to the IDF .
Israel has done enough damage already Ofer, to Lebanon and its people, the killings of over 1000 in three weeks is good evidence. As for the two soldiers that has been captured, it is understandable that their families are suffering, but what shocks me is , why are you not feeling the same way about the prisoners from Lebanon and Palestine held in israeli prisons ? They have families who care for them too. I am more than sure that you have better access to these information than the rest of us.
As for what do regarding this whole thing . To tell you the truth Ofer, its not my place to say how or to show the tool , I haven’t planned to be a part of this discussion in first place , I only wanted to vent some of my anger and frustration . The topic we are discussing is the current lebanon-israel crisis which is complex enought to be discussed. If you want to discuss the whole palastine-israel crisis I am more than ready and i have a lot to say about it, but again this is not the right place for it. Showing this video, means that you are ignorant to the real current crisis in middle east, you dont know what are the main reasons for this war. All you know is that you are the victoms since the holocouast and you can do whatever you want and every one should sympathize with you.
It is not your fault it is just that you are brainwashed by media of US and Israel that make you think that lebanese and palastinians just hate you for what you are. THIS IS FALSE:

look, i have posted here lots of messages and raised many concerns, but our dear friend Ofer did not give any logical reply to any of my concerns raised. And then he says he didnt answer because he doesnt know my name
I am serious in this conversation but I have the feeling that I am only talking to myself. Anyway now that our dear friend Ofer knows my name maybe he ( and also you)can answer those concerns which i raised before, I will summarize them here:
1-I said that hizboulah is the reaction to what Israel did in year 1982 when Israel invaded lebanon and killed thousands of people. Hizboulah started after Israel invaded lebanon and not before!!!
2- I said that the solution to this problem will come from Israel give lebanon its rights (the land, prisoners and stop flying warplanes above our country) of course in return we give Israel its soldiers and Hizboulah will no longer be present.
3- I will make it even easier :
Assume I have an apple and Faun has an orange. I took the orange that Faun has, in return she took the apple that I have. now me and Faun started fighting because we became enemies. to become friends again i should give Faun her orange and she should return the apple to me.
Am i clear enough, please tell me if i am wrong ???
