With all due respect my question goes directly to the director of Lands and survey, are you proud of the work flow? strategy? people’s satisfaction? anything?
In my life I had to do many things with many governmental and private sectors, I had some really good experiences and some less but it has never been aggressively bad as my experience with lands and survey today.
I remember back in 1997/8 we needed to call the civil defence many times because my grandmother medical condition were critical and I remember that it was like matter of scratching Aladdin lamps, just call count to oh nothing and they will be there with a big smile on their faces to help you, neighbours called them once because their kitty stuck on the top of a high tree and they couldn’t rescue it themselves so they called the civil defence and they were more than glad to help.
Civil defence people are just great, in term of service and morals and you know what? they don’t charge* you for their service and they do it with a big smile and high proficiency, so why things that you pay for just doesn’t work ?
A mass lay off in such departments, restructure, getting FULLY computerized (GOD it’s 2007!) would help.
* I’m not sure how taxes work but even if we are being charged for such service, we are not being over charged and we are receiving quality service.
** I’m not in mood to blog, talk, socialise but I was forced to blog today after struggling to get things done in the right way today.
