Hike & Bike in Wadi Rum
Wikipedia - Wadi Rum (Arabic: وادي رم) is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in south west Jordan. It is the largest wadi in Jordan. The name Rum most likely comes from an Aramaic root meaning ‘high’ or ‘elevated’. To reflect its Arabic pronunciation properly, archaeologists transcribe the name Wadi Ramm.
While most of bloggers were thinking and blogging about their favourite blogger, your favourite blogger :p Jad was biking & hiking in Wadi Rum.
Camping in Wadi Rum is a great experience by itself; adding Bike & Hike makes it a very memorable experience, unlike most of people, we were riding Bikes instead of camels.
Tareef Biking Club did the magic by organizing this adventure trip, Tareef staff were so professional and helpful, they took care of all details, the trip wouldn’t be fun and safe without their efforts.
Zawaideh Desert Camp was like a five stars hotel, I’d compare their food quality to Amman Ata Ali and their service to a five stars hotel but I really cannot compare their honesty and the smile on the face to anyone, the staff were just awesome, I’d make sure to reserve at Zawaideh Desert Camp whenever I head to Wadi Rum again.
Participants were kind of people that you would be interested to turn them into a friends, they were fun, full of energy and up into anything, they were a good mix of 10 years old up to 64 years old.
I was surprised by Hussam, this man is so much fun, he’s energetic until I start thinking that he might be taking some fun viagra!
Have you ever seen a pidgin in the desert? I never thought that a pidgin could live in desert until I met some there.
Our 64 years old biker was also a Yoga expert
This women has amazing soul, she has been biking since 1946, her brother was a champ in Germany. She speaks excellent Arabic, actually she relatively have a proper Arabic than the rest of us however.
Jordan is amazing country yet we haven’t discovered all of it’s sites and the more you go out the more you find more about its beauty.

Just stumbled onto this blog (from Rebellious Arab Girl) got to say The 3 days I spent in Wadi Rum were AMAZING!!! The best time I had in the Middle East; for sure (I love Jordan) Went to Israel (the basis for my travels) and Jordan stole the show had a better time there. I strongly advocate anyone making a pilgamidge to the Holyland plan on Wadi Rum… nuff said.

Nothing beats the open space while biking, the greatest and the most memorable experience.
Yes, the trips are guided by Tareef Biking club coach and staff and that is another reason to enjoy your trip when it’s tagged with safety.
David
Welcome to this blog and hope to see you in Jordan, say in a biking trip to Wadi Rum.
Hello, I’m moving to jordan to attend the UJ in July, I was wondering if you could tell me if Amman is a friendly city for bikes or if it is at all a place that I could bike in.
