#Blogging

Blogging is the oldest social technology on the web and, against all odds, one of the most durable. These posts are about owning your own words in an era that prefers you rent them from a platform. I write about the mechanics, static site generators and RSS and the quiet pleasure of a well-formed archive, and about the philosophy, why a personal site is still worth maintaining when the audience is on someone else's algorithm. The pieces here trace a line from the early blogosphere through the platform collapse and into the current revival, where people are rediscovering that a domain you control is the only archive that cannot be de-prioritized. Blogging is not nostalgia for me. It is a small act of digital sovereignty.
